Welcome.....
Crossroad Books caters to both avid readers and serious collectors of fine, used and out-of-print books. We are a used and rare book store with two floors of more than 40,000 volumes. Our inventory consists of both contemporary and antiquarian books. We also special order new books, carry some textbooks and feature new books of local interest and by local authors.
It is easy to check our growing selection of books available on a searchable database. We also encourage you to visit the shop and browse the aisles for the many more gems that are not listed online. View our book-related art for sale, framed maps and selection of greeting cards for readers and book-lovers. We also carry archival-quality, Brodart book jacket covers in all sizes so that you can protect the books that mean the most to you.
As an independent, community book store we offer an alternative to the sameness of chain stores and the anonymity of just online book shopping. Instead of a chain store full of bestsellers, we have a wide variety of unique, quality books in a building that shares the distinctive character of our downtown. You never know what treasure you will find tucked in a nook or cranny of our store. We work hard to find and offer titles few other book stores carry.
E-readers and on-line shopping may be convenient but can’t compare to the charm of a shop full of books calling to you with various textures, bindings and topics. Escape the stress and pace of modern life and spend an afternoon browsing. You may discover a book you never knew existed and one that will add richness and depth to your life.
“The love of learning,
the sequestered nooks,
and all the sweet serenity
of books.”
